The 40 Over 40 Portrait Project celebrates women aged 40 and over. It's a calm, pampered portrait experience to help you feel seen, proud and beautiful as the woman you are right now.

When it's done, you'll have more than a beautiful portrait. You'll have your story told, your portrait in a book, and a night of celebrating with women just like you.​

Why I started this

When I was little, four portraits hung on the wall at my nan's house. They were of my nan, my mum and my two aunts. Thirty years later, those portraits are still hanging there proudly. I wanted other women to feel that same pride. A portrait that says "this is me, and I matter."

Who this is for

I created this project for women who have spent years putting everyone else first. Women who are usually the ones behind the camera, or hiding from it.

I know how it feels to want a beautiful photo of yourself but think "that's not for someone like me."

This project makes it easy. You just show up, and I'll look after the rest.

    FAQ

    "Is this boudoir?"

    No. This is a portrait project, not boudoir. You wear your own outfits, and we'll chat about what to bring before your session.

    ​

    "I don't feel confident enough yet."

    That makes complete sense. Most women feel this way before their session, especially if they've spent years avoiding photos. You don't need confidence to join. You just need to be willing to show up as you are. The confidence comes during the session, and it often grows when you see your photos.

    "I don't love how I look right now."

    You're not alone in feeling this, and it doesn't make you wrong or difficult. This isn't about loving every part of yourself. It's about giving yourself a break from being so hard on yourself. With soft light, gentle posing and calm guidance, most women are surprised at how differently they see themselves.

    "I'm not the kind of woman who gets her photo taken."

    A lot of women tell me this at first. This project isn't about being a model or being perfect. You don't need a certain body, personality or level of confidence. This project was made for women exactly like you.
